Everyone has the opportunity for a free education. Even the poorest rated public school is crammed with teachers more than able and willing to teach your child to read and write. Parents have the opportunity to see that their child takes advantage of this opportunity.
We all know there are jobs begging for reliable workers who can read and write. You have to be able to read about them, complete an application and show up on time everyday.
If your child graduates high school unable to read the help wanted ads and properly complete an application, shame on you. Not the teachers or society in general.
