Lady Red Wolves To Play For WPSL Conference Championship

Saturday, July 17, 2021
The number two ranked, Lady Red Wolves, defeated #3 Southern Soccer Academy in last night’s Semifinal match. This win advances them to the WPSL Southeastern Conference Championship Final versus number one ranked, Nashville Rhythm. This match is a repeat appearance from both teams in 2019 when #1 ranked Lady Red Wolves faced #2 Nashville Rhythm in the 2019 Southeastern Conference Finals. The Lady Wolves clinched the 2019 Title and are competing for that same title this weekend.

Lady Red Wolves GM, Gretchen Hammel says, “The Southeastern Conference was very competitive this year.
The matches could have gone either way on any given day. We are fortunate to have some of the most talented players in the WPSL that know how to compete and win, and we are also thankful for the opportunity to be competing in the WPSL final again this year! We have a strong rivalry with Nashville Rhythm. We are looking forward to our match with them. This should be one of the best matches of the season.”

The Lady Red wolves will travel to Nashville Rhythm tomorrow; July 18, 2021, in hopes of clinching the WPSL Southeastern Championship for the second season in a row.
