Lady Red Wolves To Hold Open Tryouts

Wednesday, January 26, 2022

Coming up on the 2022 season, the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves have become accustomed to plenty of on field success. The team has won the WPSL Southeastern Conference every year since its inception, been named the WPSL franchise of the year, and its rosters have featured the national offensive player of the year, keeper of the year as well as several Southeastern Conference all stars.

After continual dominance, the club is climbing up the ladder from the women’s premier soccer league to the newly-minted USL W League. The jump means new challenges, new opponents and new goals.

The first step in continuing the club’s on field success happens February 12th, when the club holds its 2022 Team Tryout at CHI Memorial Stadium. The CLRWSC will be headed by head coach Luke Winter, who will be returning for his second season with the club.

Luke and the Lady Red Wolves' organization are optimistic about the upcoming season and completing this year’s 2022 roster.

Luke adds, "we are looking forward to bringing in talent from all over the southeast. It's a great opportunity to play at a professional soccer stadium and be part of the exciting inaugural W League season."

The Lady Red Wolves have just released their team tryout date to be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00pm. A new element to this year’s tryout will be added as they get to host the event at Chattanooga's new CHI memorial stadium. Players trying out for the women’s team will get to come and enjoy the experience while playing in Tennessee’s first professional soccer stadium.

The cost to tryout is $50 per player and all players will receive an official Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves tryout t-shirt. To register for this year’s Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves official team tryout, visit: http://bit.ly/LadyRedWolvesTryouts.

For Winter, the inaugural season of the W league can’t come fast enough. “We’re excited for the new teams to play, most of them have USL League One Affiliates, and new cities to travel to,” says Winter “Our goal is to win, the franchise has a rich history and we want to continue that. Different factors will naturally affect that success but it’s exciting to bring friendships back together, have fun on and off the field, develop the next crop of talent, and win games.”

Howard Graduates Shined Despite Gang Interruption

I have had many career highlights, but none like the partnership that Lookout Mountain Conservancy has enjoyed with The Howard School for the past 10 years. I have gotten to know hundreds of the students, and I often walk away thinking how fantastic these students are, and yet, how misunderstood. May 20, 2022, is a great example. I attended The Howard School graduation at Finley ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Man And The Tree

During my Morning Readings one day last week I came across an essay that appeared in the Epoch Times on October 27, 2020 entitled ‘The Man’s Pledge.’ It is one of many stories from the newspaper’s readers to its “Dear Next Generation” where the idea is to plant … well, figuratively take a seed pod from an older tree and nurture a seedling that will grow into a new tree. The story ... (click for more)
