Danny Lynn Gilliland, 70, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge “Gil” and Francis Gilliland.

Danny was a devout Christian and member of the Baptist church, he also enjoyed teaching Sunday School class for many years. He retired from Sequoyah Nuclear Plant as an armed response officer.

He was a man of integrity. Danny was fun-loving, easy-going, a generous husband and a friend to everyone. He loved sports, but what he loved most was being with family and friends. He will be missed greatly.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Kriste Gilliland, brother, David (Norma) Gilliland, step-son, Gabriel Petersen and 3 nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with brother David Gilliland speaking.

The family will receive friends following the service from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 4.
