East Brainerd Chamber Council Completes Quiet Room For East Brainerd Elementary Staff

  • Tuesday, November 1, 2022

The East Brainerd Chamber Council has completed its Quiet Room project for East Brainerd Elementary School.

The Council began the Quiet Room project earlier this year, after Saunya Goss, Ed. D., principal, East Brainerd Elementary expressed the need at a monthly Chamber Council meeting. The East Brainerd Council collected furniture, lighting, décor and relaxation items from East Brainerd Council Members to create a calming place for educators to spend a few minutes each day.

“The Board wants to thank all our donors and volunteers who helped bring this room to life," said Amber Fortenberry, president, East Brainer Chamber Council. "We are grateful to have such giving members in our community that we can count on when we call. It is always a pleasure to work with Dr. Goss and the East Brainerd Elementary staff. We hope to continue supporting not just East Brainerd Elementary, but all of the schools in our footprint."

The East Brainerd Quiet Room ribbon cutting will take place on Nov. 9 at 12:15 p.m. Teachers, staff, East Brainerd Council Board members and donors are invited to attend. Light fare will be provided courtesy of Newk’s Eatery and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
