Paul Kenneth Robinson, 90, of McDonald, Tennessee, and formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, died on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

He was born on April 28, 1932 in Memphis, to the late Carl Stringer Robinson and Dona Burchett Robinson. Paul graduated from Murfreesboro Central High School and attended Memphis State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with a Reconnaissance Unit during the Korean Conflict. Paul was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Prior to moving to East Tennessee, Paul was an active member of Leawood Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class. Paul retired from T.I.M.E., DC Truck Lines, after 32 years of service. He was a charter member of the Memphis Claim Prevention Conference.

Paul was married to Joyce Browning Robinson for 70 years. They loved to travel, driving to every state in the U.S., including Alaska. Paul and Joyce visited most of the National Parks in the United States and most of the Canadian Provinces. Later in life, they enjoyed going on these trips with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They enjoyed the numerous do-it-yourself projects for themselves and their children.

Paul and Joyce were loyal University of Memphis fans and season ticket holders for 50 years. They attended all the football and basketball games while living in Memphis, TN. After moving to Chattanooga, TN, they watched the games on television and the internet. Paul also enjoyed hunting with his son, his son’s friend and his best friend, Odis Humphrey, who is now deceased. He also loved to garden and usually had a large one and enjoyed sharing his produce.

Paul was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith David Robinson and his sisters, Collen Robinson Brown and Irene Robinson Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Browning Robinson; son, Kenneth M. Robinson and his wife, Patricia of McDonald, TN; daughter, Paula Robinson Armstrong of McDonald, TN; grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Robinson, Sarah Robinson Stiner and Erin Robinson (Jason) Bryant and Michael (Paige) Armstrong, both of Memphis, TN; great-grandchildren, Jacob Robinson, Bentlee Stiner, Kenslee Stiner and Brayden Bryant.

There will be no visitation or services in Chattanooga.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. CST on Friday, Nov. 11, in the chapel of Bodkin Funeral Home, Milan, TN. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
