Bobby Brown, 87, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Bobby had lived for over 60 years in Fort Oglethorpe and was the original founder of Armando’s. He opened his first location on Main Street in 1968 selling cheeseburgers for 95 cents. He later opened at a total of 12 locations between Armando’s and Bobby B’s. Bobby loved his family dearly as well as his customers. He never owned a credit card and was known for saying, “If you can’t pay cash, you don’t need it”. Bobby took pride in his business and when training new employees, he would always say, “If you won’t eat it don’t serve it to my customers”. Bobby was loved by his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Brown; parents, Bert and Aileen Brown; and his brothers, Joe, George, Kochie, Jim, Bill, and Tom Brown.

Survivors include his children, Sheilah Sullivan, Melissa Hiett, Kevin (Jessica) Brown, and Karen Pinkerton; grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Shane Hiett, Wynter Hiett, Michael Pentecost, Lindsay Walker, Jesse Brown, and Jacob Brown; great-grandchildren, Camden, Gavyn, Ryleigh, Casey, Benson, Brayden, Charlotte, and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the South Team of Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and care during this time.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2-6 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
