Lawrence “Butch” Jackson Berry, Jr., 80, of Flintstone, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 13, 2022.

He was the son of the late Lawrence and Cassie Berry and graduated from Mississippi State University. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Major for 20 years as well as retiring from TVA after 29 years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy S. Berry; daughters, Brooks (Kevin) Thompson, Aimee (Michael) Evans and Erin (Jonathan) Clark; grandchildren, Shelby (Jake) Butcher, Regan, Jackson, Lelia, Frazier, Chaney Beth and Nathan.

Funeral services will be noon on Monday, Dec. 19, at Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church with Jonathan Clark officiating. The body will lie-in-state two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
