Brenda Kay Mabry received her heavenly reward on January 1, 2022.

Kay spent the majority of her life in the Brainerd, Ooltewah, and Cleveland area, having recently built a cabin in her place of peace in the Smoky Mountains. While on Earth she tended the hearts of all who knew her. It's become evident that her continual words of assurance and hope and her vibrant spirit will be forever missed.

Those who knew "Trip" and Kay likely don't recall a time they were apart. Having spent 54 years together, they were truly of one heart and mind. Kay served as a loving mother to their three girls, Cam, Aimee and Katy. She raised them to see beauty everywhere. Kay was a master gardener, a faithful caretaker of the many animals on the family farm for over 20 years, and a faithful servant of the Lord all her days. She invested her time in conversations with others and loved to travel. The lessons she taught will carry on through her daughters, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will have a memorial service in the spring.
