Tennessee Averages 72 COVID Deaths And 1,666 Cases Per Day From Feb. 20-26

The Tennessee Department of Health, which is now reporting updated COVID totals once a week, on Wednesday said there have been 2,006,508 total COVID cases in the state, with an average of 1,666 cases per day from Feb. 20-26. 

There have been 24,483 coronavirus deaths in Tennessee, with an average of 72 per day from Feb. 20-26. 

The state currently has 1,267 people hospitalized from the virus, with a decrease of 73 per day from Feb. 20-26. 

The number of coronavirus tests that have been administered in the state is 12.520 million.

There have been 1,963,494 Tennesseans that have recovered from the virus, which is 98 percent.

Bledsoe County:  4,636 cases, up 18; 53 deaths, up 5

Bradley County:  32,944 cases, up 112; 383 deaths, up 7

Grundy County: 3,960 cases, up 13; 69 deaths, up 1

Marion County: 8,786 cases, up 41; 123 deaths, up 2

McMinn County: 16,604 cases, up 64; 236 deaths, up 4

Meigs County: 3,345 cases, up 22; 54 deaths, up 3

Polk County: 4,670 cases, up 46; 65 deaths, up 9

Rhea County: 9,920 cases, up 30; 148 deaths

Sequatchie County: 4,183 cases, up 18; 66 deaths, up 2

Knox County: 126,406 cases, up 7338; 1,277 deaths, up 49

Davidson County: 189,330 cases, up 964; 1,584 deaths, up 16

Shelby County: 234,127 cases, up 971; 3,149 deaths, up 68
