Hug-A-Bunny Days At The Chattanooga Zoo Set For April 15-16

  • Monday, April 11, 2022

The Chattanooga Zoo announces its annual Hug-a-Bunny Days where the public is invited to come celebrate the arrival of Spring and the Easter holiday, on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This year, Hug-A-Bunny tickets will be sold online only as time slot options. Guests can choose from three time slots (9 a.m.-12 p.m., 12-2 p.m., or 2-5 p.m.) on both Friday and Saturday. Guests will need to arrive during their time slots, however, they may stay as long as they like.

During this event, all the bunny-day fun will be included in the cost of the ticket ($18.95/adult, $15.95/child). Members can enjoy special member pricing for the event, ($9 adult, $7 child), but still must purchase their tickets online.

With the purchase of admission, guests can enjoy a Golden Egg Hunt to win a family membership (one for each time slot), special animal enrichment activities, pop-up bunny habitats, Bubble Zone, and take-home crafts. On top of that, guests can enjoy the Zoo on a spring day, as well as have free photo-opportunities with the Easter Bunny in the Education Building.

In addition to these activities, the Zoo will also be offering Zoo-Choo train rides, Giraffe feedings, and Camel feedings for an additional cost, as well as DIY pastel tie dye shirts for $10. The Zoo’s Wild Burger Restaurant and snack carts will be open for food and drink purchases. Snack carts include ICEE, Dippin’ Dots, and more.

The Zoo’s bunnies are back. While guests will not be able to hold the rabbits, they’ll still be able to pet the bunnies and watch them hop about in their enclosures while learning about them from animal care staff.

The event will also include a bounce slide, animal encounters with Animal Ambassadors, and more activities around the Zoo.

“Our Hug-a-Bunny event is always a crowd favorite,” says Dardenelle Long, Chattanooga Zoo president and CEO. “This is such a fun and educational event for families to enjoy, and we’re sure this year will be no exception. We at the Chattanooga Zoo are looking forward to seeing you all.”
