Patricia “Patti” Ann Crane
Patricia “Patti” Ann Crane was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this life Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Regency Park Health Care at the age of 80.
Patti was born Oct. 10, 1941 in Dalton, Ga. to the late Reed Haigler and Margie Watson Haigler. She was also preceded in death by her son, William “Bill” Jerry Gordon Sr.; brother-in-law, Don Sayers; step-daughter, Sharon Kaye Phillips; and grandson, MaKlain Lawson.
Patti graduated from Dalton High School, and pursued a degree from Emory University. After college, Patti dedicated her career to top executives by serving as an administrative assistant in the textile industry, including Coronet Industries Inc., Horizon Industries, and retiring from Carpet and Rug Backing and Supplies of Dalton.
Patti was a loving and dedicated wife. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Alton Crane Jr., they would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on May 11, 2022. Patti is also survived by her daughters, Missy and Danny Wright of Calhoun, Ga., and Angel and Kelly Cheek of Chattanooga, Tn.; sons, Craig and Linda Lander of Philadelphia, Pa., and Chris Lander of Idaho; sister, Connie Sayers of Boca Grande, Fl.; daughter-in-law, Lori Gordon of Calhoun, Ga.; brother-in-law, Sam Crane and family of Stockton, Al.; grandchildren, Gracie Gordon, Madison Wright, Marc-Taylor Wright, MaKenzie Dale, Tyler Phillips, Haley Phillips and Morgan Phillips; great-grandchild, Auslyn Taylor; and nephew, Michael Leonard of Dalton, Ga. Also leaving behind several nieces, nephews and many friends that she made throughout the years.
Patti loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. The family would gather around for celebrations such as birthdays and holidays as Patti would make these special times most memorable for each and every family member. She was an avid bridge player. She was dedicated to her wonderful friends that also had a love for the game of golf as she served as a member of the Ladies Golf League at Dalton Golf and Country Club known as “The Catfight”. She also served with some wonderful ladies as a member of the Ladies Gourmet Garden Club. Patti and Jim are members of Christ Church Presbyterian where they come together to worship the lord.
Celebration of life will be held at Christ Church Presbyterian on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. Reverend Eric Gile will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 24, from 2 p.m. until the service hour of 3 p.m. at Christ Church Presbyterian.
