The Chattanooga softball team entered the D1Softball Top 25 Mid-Major ranking for the first time this season.
The Mocs are 22nd in the Week 12 poll after moving into first place in the Southern Conference standings ahead of Samford and UNC Greensboro. UTC swept the Bulldogs over the weekend while the Spartans lost two of three on the road at Mercer. That put the Mocs up a game-and-a-half over UNCG and two-and-a-half over Samford and Wofford who are tied for third.
Chattanooga is 36-12 overall and 13-4 against the SoCon and on a four-game win streak.
The Mocs close out the home slate tonight against Tennessee Tech at 5:00 p.m. at Frost Stadium and finish the regular season on the road with a three-game series at East Tennessee State.
