Hamilton County's Financial Condition

  • Tuesday, May 17, 2022

I just read exiting County Mayor Coppinger's review of the Hamilton County financial condition. No tax increase in next year's budget and the county rainy day fund is at a whopping $130 million!

This after the $16 million paid in full for the large tract at McDonald Farm in Sale Creek.

Also, efforts are underway for raises and increased funding in various departments.

This is clearly a wonderful report and kudos to Chairperson Sabrena Smedley and the other commissioners for their excellent stewardship of the people's money.

This also includes thanks to all county department heads and all employees.

We can only hope this will continue.
