Paul Copeland
Paul Copeland was born on January 14, 1950, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Willie and Bertha Copeland. He transitioned this life on Friday, May 20, 2022, in Chattanooga.
Paul was a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School, where he played football and other sports. Paul was employed with Ernest Holmes Wrecker Company until closing and worked on construction sites throughout the Chattanooga area. He later began a lawn service.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertha Copeland; grandparents, John and Fannie Martin; son, Derick Chapman; foster parents, Pearl and Edna Beasley and Nettie Dillard; brother, Anthony Beasley; sister, Mary Ann Copeland; and other siblings and family.
Paul leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Michelle (Stacy) McClure, Lithonia, Ga., and Lisa Johnson, Chattanooga; son, Paul (Shanda) Copeland, Tampa, Fl.; sisters, Dorothy Gober, Marietta, GA. Angela Dillard, and Rita (Mike) Henderson of Chattanooga; brothers, Estee (Carolyn) Copeland, Cleveland, Oh., Bobby (Harriet) Copeland of Marietta, Ga., and Curtis (Betty) Beasley, Blowing Springs, Ga.; grandchildren, Angelo McClure, Shuderica Chapman, Jakira Westmoreland, KeSean Eubanks, Daunte, Bella, and Savanna Copeland, and Alyssa May; a dear friend, Jackie Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday. May 31, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
