Erlanger Increases Nurses Pay; Has Zero Contract Nurses

  • Thursday, July 28, 2022

Erlanger officials said pay for nurses at the hospital has been increased, which is a factor in the hospital currently having zero expensive contract nurses.

The hospital, however, is paying some of its own nurses to commit to additional work for premium pay.

Officials said Erlanger earlier in the year spent $4.5 million on upping the pay of nurses.

The nurses also will be getting a new three percent pay increase that goes to the full staff.

Erlanger has been able to rehire former nurses at a rate more than double that of the past.

It is also working with a new nursing program at Lincoln Memorial University.

Erlanger recently was able to hire over 150 new graduate nurses.

Officials said a new MRI center on the seventh floor at Erlanger East is staying busy seven days a week.
