Alexandre Mark Bowick, 27, of Signal Mtn. died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20th.  Alex had a great love for people. He brought joy to many who are grateful to have known him.  Having natural talents in the kitchen, Alex worked in the culinary arts, and more recently in the field of fiber optics. Alex loved the outdoors - snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, wake-boarding, hiking and fishing.  He also loved plants and other living things.  He spent his years on this earth in Charleston, SC, Cocoa Beach, FL, Provo, UT, Montreal, QC, Greenville, SC and Chattanooga, TN.  

Born on November 30, 1994, Alex was predeceased by his mother, Lyne de Leeuw Bowick and his father, D. Mark Bowick, as well as his grandfathers Daniel de Leeuw and the Rev. Dr. E. Donald Bowick.

He is survived by his grandmothers who played a special role in his life, Lucy Peak Bowick (Signal Mtn.), Huguette de Leeuw (Montreal, QC), and Madelyn Bowick (Summerville, SC)

Alex is also survived by a large extended family, and his presence will very much be missed by his aunts and uncles Anna & Andrew Johnson (Summerville, SC), Ashley & Fil Sires (Adams Run, SC), Bill Bowick and David Bouffard (Sedgwick, ME), Francis de Leeuw (Marly, Switzerland), Barry & Chrissy Felton (Spartanburg, SC), and many close cousins, great aunts and uncles and special friends.  Alex found comfort, friendship, and fellowship in his Calvary Chapel family. 

A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Aug. 26, at 4:30 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Chattanooga, 3415 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37409.

Visitation with friends and family will be held on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Calvary Chapel from 3-4:30 p.m. prior to the celebration of life.
