Sandra Sue Hilton
Sandra Sue Hilton, age 81, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.
Mrs. Hilton was born in Chattanooga, Tn., on Dec. 31, 1940, the daughter of the late Earl N. Madewell and Daisy L. Fox Doss. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hilton enjoyed gardening, traveling, and history. Also, she was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved being with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Hilton; a son-in-law, Larry Jones, III; and two sisters, Charlotte Johnson and Sherri Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Morgan and Sharon Jones; two grandchildren, Brittany Ray (Caleb) and Lawrence Jones, IV (Andee); three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Jones, Lizzie Ray, and Maggie Jones; a brother, Charles Edward Doss, II (Barbara); four sisters, Jean Logan, Diane Allen, Rhonda Hobbs, and Susan Sullivan; and her beloved cats. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m., Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Creswell officiating. Inurnment will be Wednesday at 1 p.m., Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
