Uniting art, nature, and cycling, Chattanooga sculptor Jim Collins’ “Hill Climb” sculptures are placed at two key cycling intersections at the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve at Bentonville, Ark.
A 20-foot tall sculpture is located at the corner of Hoot Owl and Peach Orchard roads - a road cycling thoroughfare near the Bike Preserve.
A 12-foot sculpture can be found at Price Coffee and NE J Street - a convergence for road, mountain, and gravel cyclists.
These artworks remind drivers that bikes belong here, officials said.
Jim Collins’ work is characterized by the use of silhouettes of people and animals constructed of stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.
His work can be found in many collections in the United States and Ireland with the majority located in the Southeastern United States.
