Reba Davis
Reba Laverne Davis (aged 84) left to be with her Heavenly Father on November 28th, 2023 while surrounded by her family.
A lifetime citizen of Cleveland, TN, she was a charter member of Waterville Baptist Church where she was highly involved as the church secretary, organist for over 65 years, and taught Sunday School for almost 60 years. In addition, she also witnessed through Lay-led revivals, mission trips, and assisted with Vacation Bible School. She was a 1957 graduate of Bradley High School and a 1958 graduate of McKenzie Business College. She was preceded in death by her parents Dicky and Irene Huff and her husband of 41 years, Garland Davis. She is survived by her eldest daughter Sharon Chambers and husband John, her middle daughter Jan Hancock, and husband Tracy, and her youngest daughter Angela Kersey, and husband Greg. In addition, she is survived by her eldest grandson Trevor Hancock, and fiancé Jessica Parker, second grandson Devin Kersey, only granddaughter Shelby Couts and husband Austin, youngest grandson Trent Hancock, and great granddaughter Kaitlyn Bywaters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 1st from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waterville Baptist Church followed by her Celebration of Life service at 7 pm. Pastors Alan Lovelace, Clint Ledford, and Sammy Parris will conduct the ceremony. Graveside service and interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. Pallbearers include Tracy Hancock, Trevor Hancock, Trent Hancock, Greg Kersey, Devin Kersey, Austin Couts, and John Chambers.
The family would like to thank the nurses, CNAs, and other medical professionals at both Morningside Assisted Living and Signature Nursing Home for their compassion and dedicated care in the last few years of Reba's life. In Lieu of flowers, her family has asked that donations be made to Waterville Baptist Church.
