Edgar Maurice “Moe” Gass, 74, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away at home on April 2, 2023. We know that his parents, Ed and Madeline Gass, joyfully greeted him upon his entrance into heaven. Oh, the comfort it brings to know that Moe is in his eternal home.

Moe had many titles in life, but his favorite were Dad and Grandaddy. He will be missed by so many, but we know he feels the best he has felt in years.

Moe was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Madeline Gass, and his mother-in-law, Norma Wright.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Sharon Wright Gass; sons Rob (Lori) Gass and Pat Gass; two grandsons who he loved with all his heart, Bowden and Garrett Gass; his aunt, Gert Hisey; and many loving cousins.

Funeral services honoring the life of Moe Gass will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Derrell O’Neal and Pastor David Brown officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund, 24 Kay St, Rossville, GA 30741.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
