The prestigious 117th Southern Amateur Championship will be hosted at The Honors Course this summer, and volunteers are invited to sign up to participate in the event which runs July 17-22.
The Chattanooga Classic Club will be coordinating the network of volunteers. Openings are available on the following committees: Transportation, Driving Range Set-up, Marshals and Spotters, Stationary and Walking Scorers, Course Hydration and Ecology, Food and Beverage and Evening Course Maintenance.
Those who work three shifts will be given the opportunity to play The Honors Course on the volunteer play date scheduled for July 24. Volunteers will receive food and beverage while working, and are given a volunteer shirt and hat for a small fee to cover the cost.
The Honors Course recently re-opened after a very extensive course and facilities makeover and the results are stunning. Volunteers are able to watch future stars compete at the event at their leisure.
