Chattanooga Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

  • Saturday, June 17, 2023
Chattanooga head coach Gavin McKinney revealed the 2023 women’s soccer schedule. It includes eight Southern Conference foes.

While the home slate doesn’t officially kick off until late August, the Mocs will have a preview for fans on August 5 in an exhibition against Western Kentucky at the UTC Sports Complex less than a week after reporting to campus. Two more exhibitions are scheduled on the road at Murray State and Georgia State.

The season opens with three straight road contests beginning with Vanderbilt on August 17. The Mocs will head to Tennessee Tech a few days later and North Alabama after that.

Chattanooga will open a two-game home stretch with Austin Peay at the end of August and open September with Jacksonville State at the Sports Complex.

After a trip up I-24 to Middle Tennessee, the Mocs return to home to face Belmont and a first-ever meeting with San Francisco.

The Southern Conference schedule was altered to reflect the majority of conferences throughout the NCAA. Games will be played on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the season with alternating road and home games.

The SoCon season opens Thursday, September 21 at home against Mercer. That will be followed by a pair of road games at The Citadel and ETSU. Furman comes to visit at the start of October followed by a match at Western Carolina later that week.

Chattanooga will close out the home slate against VMI and Wofford finish out the regular season on the road at UNCG and Samford in the finale.

The SoCon Tournament opening round games will be hosted by the highest seeded team on the following Tuesday, October 24. The quarter- and semi-final rounds will take place October 27-29 at home sites of the higher seed and the final will be November 4th for 5th.
