Summer ESL Camp To Take Place At Lee University

  • Tuesday, June 27, 2023

Lee University’s Center for English Language Learning is offering a free ESL (English as a Second Language) camp for students ages 6-12. The camp will be held July 10-14 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in Lee’s Walker Memorial Building.

This week-long day camp will help non-native English speakers develop their English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Through fun learning activities, students will learn about English grammar, vocabulary, and strategies to help them be successful at school.

“The ESL summer camp has become a highly anticipated summer event for ESL students in our community,” said Dr. Chris Blake, director of CELL. “The camp is a place where children develop confidence in their academic English while also forming friendships with other kids that sometimes last for years.”

Enrollment is free but limited to the first 35 children, so early registration is encouraged.

For more information or to register for this event, contact Dr. Blake by emailing cblake@leeuniversity.edu, calling 614-8223, or visiting https://www.leecell.org/.
