McCallie rising senior Thad Whitfield placed fourth at this week's Tennessee Junior Amateur Golf Championship with a three-round total of eight-under-par 208.
Whitfield was nine-under after the first two rounds, firing a 66 Tuesday and a 69 Wednesday at the par-72 Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville, Tenn. He carded a final-round 73 Thursday.
Blades Brown claimed medalist honors with a 22-under 194. The rising sophomore at Brentwood Academy is the two-time defending TSSAA Division II-AA state champion.
Johnson City's Will Sanders finished second (-10), and Collierville's Henry O'Keefe was third (-9).
A Signal Mountain native, Whitfield won the Tennessee Junior PGA Championship last week in Chapel Hill. He placed fourth at this past season's state tournament.
