Allen, Jefferies Devane, Sr. (Cleveland)

  • Wednesday, June 7, 2023
Jefferies Devane Allen, Sr., 84, of Cleveland, woke up in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger, and was loved by all who knew him.

He had many who were meeting him at his homecoming: his beautiful bride, Gail, who he faithfully loved for 62 years; his first-born son, Jeff Jr.; his baby boy, Tracy; his parents, Jon and Amy; his five brothers, John, David, Dickie, Bobby and Charlie; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Jefferies left a legacy of faith and love to be cherished by his family: his daughter, Jennifer (Steven) Mills; grandchildren, Alicia (Sak) Khim, Eric (Sulaine) Allen, Amy (Garrett) Elrod, Racheal (Seth) Prince, Dylan Mills and Tristen (Megan) Mills; his great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Anthoney, Liam, Gabriella, Cambelle, Attikus, Mallory, Dax, Matty and Damien Conrad Devane Mills, who he only saw as they passed at the Gate; daughters-in-law, Wanda Allen and Cynthia Allen; special friend and caregiver, Misty; sister-in-law, Ruth; brother-in-law, Ronnie; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Hearth Hospice, especially Jamie and all his nurses.

Services will be held on Labor Day weekend as we celebrate dad, mom and Tracy with a singing and graveside service at Stanfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.

Share a personal memory of Jefferies or your condolences with his family at his online memorial at www.companionfunerals.com.

Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
