The Northside Neighborhood House recently inducted its newly appointed board of directors and board leadership. Under the leadership of Cynthia Reagan, serving as board president, the agency welcomes five new members: Kristin Copeland, EPB; Chad Goodman, HHM Certified Public Accountants; Victoria Love, Victoria Love Creative; Katie Penny, Food City; and Amy Stone, Acumen Wealth Advisors.
"We are excited to welcome our new board members and know that they are ready to make an impact for our neighbors," said Rachel Gammon, CEO.
"Under Cynthia's leadership, I anticipate our programming and support of our neighbors to continue to grow."
Ms. Reagan replaces David Barrett, First Horizon, who served as board chair for two and a half years. During his tenure, NNH expanded its programming to add new staff positions, as well as opened five additional CommUNITY School locations for the 23-24 school year.
Ms. Reagan, who is the director of operations with MediaOne Digital, sees building social capital as a critical component of ending generational poverty. "NNH passionately looks for ways to offer a hand up to our neighbors," she said. "Partnering with our neighbors to strengthen our community is work I will support all day long."
Additional officer elections include: Josh Cropp, first vice president; Paul Thomas, second vice president; Katie Warren, recording secretary; Marcus Johnson, treasurer; and Rhonda Rigsby, assistant treasurer. Outgoing board members include Linda Andreae, Kesley Gaines, Linda Rath, Cameron Russell and Steve Wilson.
The Northside Neighborhood House has been in operation since 1924, working to address the needs of individuals and families living north of the Tennessee River by providing a hand up through education and assistance. With offices located on the north shore, NNH operates 10 CommUNITY Schools, three Thrift Stores and the Coffee Community Collective in Soddy-Daisy.
