Officers Help Revive Individual Who Overdosed - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift August 13: A Squad

25-008585 – 500 BLK South Seminole Drive – Drug Overdose
ERPD responded to a CPR in Progress and located an adult male in the floor with no pulse and no observed respiration. Officers immediately began CPR and administered one dose of NARCAN. Medical personnel from the East Ridge Fire Department and Hamilton County EMS responded and took over the patient care. The patient regained consciousness and was transported to a local hospital. 0.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl was recovered from the scene and placed in the ERPD Property and Evidence Room.

25-008556 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road - Delayed Burglary / Vandalism
Police were called to the coin laundry on a report an unknown bearded male entered the facility to dry a load of clothes. While his clothing was in the dryer, he removed the side panel of the washing machine maintenance access panel and climbed behind the equipment removing laundered coins. The facility maintenance employee was not able to determine if any damage occurred to the equipment.

25-008561 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Drive - Civil Matter
Police spoke with a woman regarding a court summons received from Hamilton County courts filed by her landlord. She was advised of the procedures to contact the County to answer any questions regarding the eviction process and summons.

25-008562 – 1400 BLK Mana Lane – Disorder
Police arrived after a custody exchange between deteriorated into a verbal disorder. Due to the recent weather anomalies, the parties had switched days to care for their daughter. The mother became upset during pick up and the father decided not to let their daughter go with her. The party left the scene after a brief but heated discussion with police.

25-008557 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road - Miscellaneous
A man reported that the individuals in the room next to him were poisoning his food and entering his room every morning. Hotel staff advised the individuals next to him were his relatives who were assisting the caller in his daily responsibilities, as he is a mental health consumer. Miscellaneous report on file.

25-008569 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway - Check Wellbeing
Officers responded to this location on report of an unconscious male. On arrival, the male advised he was simply taking a nap and no assistance was needed.

25-008574 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road - Traffic Stop / Field Interview
Police received a LPR hit on a blue Kia Soul that had previously evaded law enforcement during a traffic stop. The car was being driven today by the owner who stated, on the day in question, her vehicle was taken from Ace Hardware in East Ridge and located near the movie theatre a short time later. The license plate will be removed from the LPR database.

Night Shift August 13

25-008570 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Well-Being Check
Police conducted a well-being check with a man at the motel. The reporting party stated he had made comments about hurting himself. Police Officers spoke with the party who denied having thoughts of self-harm. He also denied EMS and did not want to go to the hospital. He was able to answer basic questions and Police determined he was not a threat to himself or others.

25-008577 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Citizen Assist
A citizen came to the East Ridge Police Department and stated her ex-husband may have placed a GPS tracker on her vehicle. Police Officers checked her automobile but did not locate any suspicious devices. ERPD provided her with information on GPS trackers and the means of detecting them.

25-008481 – 4000 BLK South Terrace– Suspicious Activity
The caller reported a man was on his rental property without his permission. Officers found the suspect in a vacant apartment that was being renovated. The RP declined to prosecute for entering the vacant residence but requested he be criminally trespassed. The trespasser gathered his
belongings and left the premises. Proximity restriction 25-000161.

25-008582 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency
East Ridge Police responded to a rolling disorder with a weapon that occurred on 2500 Dodds Avenue in Chattanooga. The victims of the disorder drove to East Ridge to make a report. Chattanooga Police Officers interviewed the victims and found the suspect had pointed a firearm at them and attempted to hit their car. Warrants are pending further investigation by CPD.

25-008588 – 1600 BLK Mack Smith Road – Assist Other Agency
East Ridge Police initiated a traffic stop and the suspect vehicle came to a halt just across the State Line in Georgia. After a short investigation, three of the vehicle occupants were arrested by Deputies with the Catoosa County Sherrif’s Office. One was arrested and charged with Possession of Fentanyl and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Another was arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked License. The third subject was taken into custody for an extraditable arrest warrant through Alabama.
