The Net Resource Foundation and the Westside Missionary Baptist Church will host the first-ever “For the Culture Community Festival” at the Southside Community Park this Saturday from noon-6 p.m. The event is free, open to the public and will feature retail and food vendors.

The Net Resource Foundation’s Executive Director Raquetta Dotley said the “For the Culture  Community Festival” will be a family-friendly event that is culturally focused. This event will  include entertainment, food and games.

“Our goal is to always bring asset-based community  events and programs to the South Chattanooga community.
This is another opportunity to  showcase this amazing community,” said Ms. Dotley.

Several sponsors have committed to the festival so far, including the City of Chattanooga, The Bethlehem Center and the South Chattanooga Community Association.

"We are excited to support the inaugural “For the Culture Community Festival," said Maria Noel, president of the South Chattanooga Community Association. "This event showcases  the global diversity, unique character, and creative spirit of Chattanooga. Join us for a fun and memorable celebration of culture, connection and community.

The festival will be moved to Saturday, Sept. 30 if there’s rain in the forecast.
