2nd Missionary Baptist Church Celebrates 78th Women's Day

Celebrating their 78th Annual Women’s Day, the ladies of Second Missionary Baptist Church (SMBC) invite the community to join them in person or virtually on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 10:45 a.m. 

Highlighting the theme, “Women Working Better Together” the guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Charlotte McSwine-Harris, pastor of Charles City Community Church, Charles City County, Va. Dr. McSwine-Harris is a native of Greenwood, Ms., and is an adjunct assistant professor at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University. The service will also feature guests from area churches joining SMBC’s Women’s Day Choir under the direction of Mrs. Paula Coleman, director of music.

For guests who will attend in-person, the church is at 2305 E. Third Street, where the Rev. Dr. Ernest L. Reid, Jr., is senior pastor. The service may be viewed online at www.mysmbchurch.org and live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook (@2ndMBChurch). Masks are optional.
