The Chattanooga men’s and women’s cross country teams will close out the regular season Friday morning with the UTC Home Meet at Camp Jordan.

“We are looking forward to hosting our home meet on this Homecoming Weekend and also with the induction into the UTC Hall of Fame of running Moc Kathleen Turchin,” Chattanooga head coach Andy Meyer said. “The weather will be great and the course is dry and fast.”

More than 150 runners from UTC, Covenant College, Bryan College, Maryville College, the University of the South, Miles College and the UTK Run Club are scheduled to race Friday morning.
Chattanooga graduate Jasper Wilson was recently named the head coach at Bryan College.

“They all bring very good and competitive squads,” Meyer said. “They are all well coached and will present us with a very tough challenge.”

The women’s 6-kilometer race is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Mocs Camp Jordan Race Course. The men’s 8K will follow at 10:45 a.m.

“We also wish to thank the City of East Ridge, Fastbreak atrhletics and Chattanooga Track Club for all their help and support in putting on this race,” Meyer stated.

Results will be available online at GoMocs.com immediately after the race. Admission is free and parking is near the course.
