Perfect Planner LLC, a tech startup founded in Cleveland that developed a cloud-based software platform to streamline material planning and replenishment processes, has been honored with the 2024 Business Innovation Award at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals annual EDGE Conference in Nashville. The recognition, part of the “3 V’s of Supply Chain Innovation Awards,” highlights Perfect Planner’s contributions to improving supply chain visibility, velocity and variability management.
This award acknowledges the innovative AI-driven technology behind Perfect Planner, which automatically generates daily “to-do lists” for material planners and buyers, prioritizing tasks based on criticality. By leveraging advanced analytics, the platform provides comprehensive insights into inventory shortages and surpluses, enabling users to respond swiftly to supply chain challenges, said officials.
Thomas Beil, founder and CEO of Perfect Planner, accepted the award, saying, “We are immensely proud to be recognized by CSCMP and the broader supply chain community. This award underscores our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve real-world supply chain problems. Our team has worked tirelessly to develop a solution that empowers businesses to streamline their operations while maintaining resilience in the face of variability.”
This recognition marks the third major accolade for Perfect Planner this year, following the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers Logistics and Supply Chain Division’s Outstanding Industry Practitioner Award and the IISE Operational Excellence Division’s Best Practice Award.
The company’s success is fueled by a diverse team of business professionals, including alumni from Lee University: Thomas Beil, Michaelia Black, Jordan Santley and Daniel Costa Prata. This diverse talent base has been instrumental in creating a robust platform that addresses critical supply chain needs, said officials.
