Thomas Harold Daniels, Sr.
Thomas Harold Daniels, Sr., 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024.
Born on March 9, 1938, in Townsend, Tn., Harold spent his early years in Powell before settling in Chattanooga, where he built a life rooted in faith and family.
Harold was the proud owner and co-owner of H&W Auto Repair for over 30 years, combining his love of cars with his dedication to hard work. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished time spent in nature and shared his passions with those closest to him.
A member of Fairview Baptist Church, Harold's life was also marked by service to his country as a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Betty Jean Daniels; his son, Thomas Harold Daniels Jr.; his parents, Major and Margaret Daniels; and his brother, Frank Daniels.
He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Donita (Mike) Oliver; sons, Tim Daniels and Todd (Dawn) Daniels, all of Ooltewah. Harold was a cherished grandfather to Michael (Leslie) Oliver of Hixson; Kaite (Jimmy) Hobbs of Dunlap; and Abby Daniels of Rome, Georgia, great-grandchildren, Jameson Oliver and Maddox and Tate Hobbs.
Harold will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his devotion to family, and his love of life’s simple joys. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery at 6807 Snow Hill Road, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Fairview Baptist Church.
