  • Tuesday, December 3, 2024

The world’s largest retailer of NASA and space-themed collectibles has opened its first brick and mortar location in downtown Chattanooga at 412 Market St.

Locally owned, The Space Store offers exclusive NASA, SpaceX, and aerospace memorabilia, gifts and collectibles, including astronaut autographs, flown-in-space artifacts, meteorites, spacecraft models and gifts.

Kids can be introduced to hands-on science with kits, toys and books for all ages.

The Space Store’s displays include a mission patch wall featuring patches from hundreds of space missions, milestones and iconic programs, as well as authentic SpaceX suits and other hardware.

The store’s centerpiece is a floor-to-ceiling, backlit, ultra-high-def image of the famous “The Pillars of Creation,” a photo of the Eagle Nebula taken by the James Webb Telescope.
