Following yesterday's thrilling win, the Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team suffered a tough 6-1 defeat on the road at once-rival Jacksonville State in a non-conference matchup at the Jax State Tennis Courts in Jacksonville, Ala., on Sunday afternoon.
After the defeat, Chattanooga drops to 5-7 overall on the season. Jacksonville State improved to 7-4 on the year after the victory.
The Gamecocks took a 1-0 lead in the match following doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 3 before the top pairing went unfinished.
Kristof Kincses accounted for the lone UTC team point after capturing a 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-4 marathon win at the No. 5 singles slot.
