Billy Officer, 83, a life-long resident of Cleveland passed away February 25, 2024.

He was the son of the late Clyde and Margaret Officer and was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Warren Officer.

Mr. Officer attended Bradley Central High School. After he left school he started working at different grocery stores in the area, including M.C. Headrick, Red Foods and Bi Lo Stores. He also worked for Whirlpool for many years. He was an avid hunter. He would hunt deer and wild hogs and was also a member of the NRA. He was a founding member of the Cleveland Hunting, Rifle and Pistol Club. With everything he worked for and accomplished in his life, his family meant the most. He attended Family Worship Center.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 plus years, Pauline Officer; daughters, Linda Epperson, Debbie Bivens (Daren), Lisa Knight (Steve) and Kristie Bruce (Gary); grandchildren, Brandi Epperson, Robert Epperson (Natalie), Heather Epperson, Josh Curtis (Cori), Joel Curtis (Heather), Nikki Wilcox (Buck) and Justin Bruce (Amanda); 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Avenue Chapel.
