Here are upcoming street closings:

Rock The Riverfront

Riverfront Parkway between Chestnut Street and Power Alley will be closed on Saturdays through April 13, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. for the first 'Rock The Riverfront' series of the year. Detours will be posted.

Please note: All trucks over two axles will be prohibited between West MLK Boulevard and Chestnut Street.

430 Manufacturers Road

The eastbound lane of Manufacturers Road will be shifted to the center lane within the 400 block of Manufacturers Road from Monday, March 25, until Friday, May 31, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. while construction is completed on the adjacent apartment complex. Please use caution and follow all traffic control devices or instructions given by on-site crews to maintain safety.

Woodland Avenue

The closure of Woodland Ave near the intersection of Frazier Ave will be extended to Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. for stormwater pipe installation.

1108 McCallie Avenue

Eastbound traffic will shift into the center lane within the 1100 block of McCallie Ave from Monday, March 25 until Tuesday, December 10, for building demolition and construction. This will also require closing the eastbound bike lane and sidewalk directly beside the building. A protected pedestrian and bike path will be constructed to maintain access for the duration. The lane shift will be periodic between the start and end dates of the project.

1909 Gunbarrel Road

The northbound lanes of Gunbarrel Road in the 1900 block will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the center lane on Monday, March 25 until Monday, April 22, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. for the decommissioning of a natural gas line. Please use caution and follow all traffic control devices or instructions given by on-site crews to maintain safety.

1503 Roanoke Ave

Roanoke Ave between Camden Street and Wilcox Blvd will be closed Monday, March 25, through Wednesday, March 27, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. for sewer repair. CARTA buses will be permitted within the closure and should not affect the route or schedule. Detours will be posted via N Orchard Knob for all other traffic.

2024 Paving Season Update:

The City of Chattanooga in coordination with Talley Construction is in the final stages of completing the 2023-2024 paving program. No full closures are expected, but delays may be experienced as temporary flagging around single-lane closures are implemented. Portions of the following roadways will see paving and resurfacing work for the week of Monday, March 25 (weather permitting):

Kensington Drive
Clermont Drive
Drake Forest - Milling completed, resurfacing to begin.
