Deborah Lynn Hudson, also known as Nana to her grandkids, passed away on March 27, 2024, in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, at the age of 62.

She was born on December 20, 1961, in Manchester, Ga. Deborah was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and co-worker.

Deborah graduated from Manchester High School, Ga., and furthered her education as a registered nurse at Piedmont School of Nursing in Atlanta in 1983. She married her husband, Kevin, of 40 years after nursing school graduation and began her fulfilling career at Warm Springs Hospital in Georgia. She and her husband later relocated to Chattanooga, where Deborah worked in the ER at Erlanger Hospital. Her nursing career included various places in Chattanooga including Memorial Hospital in oncology, recovery, and Home Health. She was later the director of Nursing at TLC Home Health. She worked for 23 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee most recently as a manager in coding and reimbursement research.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Kevin Hudson Sr.; mother, Betty J. Price; son, Charles Kevin Hudson Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Jaclyn Brooke Smith and Brandon Smith; granddaughter, Sadie Smith; grandson, Hudson Smith; brother, Frank and Kim Price; sister-in-law, Sharon and Donald Fordham; sister-in-law, Barbara Hudson; brother-in-law, HS Trott; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Junior Lee Price; brother-in-law, Robert Hudson; father-in-law, Charles H. Hudson; and mother-in-law, Frances R. Hudson.

Deborah will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her family, friends, and patients will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church 800 Raleigh Road, Woodbury, Ga. 30293.
