Lee School Of Music To Present Sr. Honors Concert April 19

  • Friday, April 12, 2024

The Lee University School of Music will present the Senior Honors Concert on Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall, featuring performers selected by School of Music faculty from the entire senior class.

“We have a very talented group of senior music majors this year,” said Dr. Douglas Warner, director of applied studies in music. “The students who will perform in this concert were each nominated by their respective applied instructors and were subsequently selected by the applied music faculty through a rigorous audition process. These performers represent the high level of musicianship for which the Lee University School of Music is known.”

The vocalists performing include sopranos Allison Glass, Amanda Moran, Macy Luithle, Emma Burnett, and Emma Segnini and mezzo-sopranos Caroline Layton and Amber Trottman.

Instrumental performers include trumpeter April Richmond and trombonist Carrie Snyder.

Composers whose music will be represented include familiar names such as Bizet, Weber, Mahler, Franck, and Gounod. Selections from art songs, Lieder, opera, musical theatre, and romantic instrumental pieces round out the program with a variety of styles.

This is a free, non-ticketed event, open to the public. Squires Recital Hall is in Lee’s Humanities Center, on Paul Conn Parkway.

Livestream viewing will be available at https://leeu.live.
