  • Saturday, April 13, 2024
The St Andrew's-Sewanee Middle school girls volleyball team won over Richard Hardy Memorial School 2-1 at home. The scores were 25-13, 15-25 and 15-11.

The SAS girls had outstanding showings defensively from Lea Moody with her attacks and play at the net as well as Maggie Lou Rudd and Savannah Blosser, who had some impressive defensive returns. Offensively, Adeline Pond and Lyra Spake served well and Aubrey Blosser had multiple assists.

While pleased with the win, Coach Shannon Blosser was concerned with the team's "errors and inconsistencies."

She said, "Richard Hardy has improved from our first match with them and it showed."

SAS is 5-3 on the season.
