Barney Marion Henderson, 73, of Sale Creek, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at his home.

Barney was a lifelong lover of his Harley Davidson and all things biker. He also enjoyed showing and training horses years ago. He was a caring brother, father, grandfather and friend, who was always first to help when you needed it. He constantly put everyone’s needs above his.

As a proud Paw-paw, he loved to watch his grandkids play ball. Barney enjoyed spending time with friends sitting around and just talking, especially Jerry and Vicky Summers. He was a constant worker, mowing his yard just two days before his passing. He was retired from Gentry and Painter where he worked for 15 years. A special thanks to Dewayne Gentry and family for all they did for Barney. Prior to that, Barney was employed at Bowater for 24 years.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mildred and Bob R. Henderson, brother, Billy Henderson and nephew, Anthony (Pete) Levi.

Barney is survived by long time girlfriend, Debbie Stinnett, ex-spouse and lifelong friend, Karen Henderson, daughters Erin (Nick) Stevens, Sha (Robert) Newman, sisters, Blanch (Bryon) LeMay, Bobbie (Tim) Myers, and brother, Buell (Sabra) Henderson.

The apples of his eye were his grandkids. Cason and Emersyn Stevens, Tyler Harvey, Bradley Goodman and six great-grandkids. Barney was also Paw-Paw to Debbie’s grandkids, who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Janet(Mark) King, Jamie (Jaime) LeMay, Annette(Tony) Morgan, Angie Loden, Bucky Parks, Tammy (Dave) Stump, Jason (Wendy) Henderson, Alicia (Jason) Tankersley, Summer and Jessica Myers, many cousins, great nieces/nephews and close neighbors, Cheryl Smith who most recently helped care for Barney.

Your presence I miss, your memory I treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never. Until we meet again.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 24. Services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Burial will follow in Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.

Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379.
