Woman And Son Reported Missing - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Family members reported a woman and her son as missing. They were last seen on Dover Lane on August 7, but were known to travel throughout Catoosa County and Whitfield County. Officers contacted surrounding agencies and medical facilities, but no one had current information on the woman or her location. The investigation was turned over to CID and a phone emergency locate was conducted with a potential location in Chattanooga.
CPD was notified but failed to locate the parties. 
 
ERPD responded to an Unknown Trouble 911 call, apparently caused by a child with a 911 only phone

The caller reported the glass window on his company’s forklift was shattered some time during the night. It is unclear if the damage was intentional or accidental.

Police spoke with the reporting party who stated a man had been harassing her and her boyfriend. Officers found no physical evidence to support her statement and made both parties aware to try and not contact each other. Both parties agreed to stay away from each other and separated for the time being.

The reporting party stated her son, who is in CPS custody, was assaulted by the foster parents. She was advised CPS would be the one investigating the assault, but a report would still be made through ERPD.

Loss Prevention Staff reported an unknown male had entered the store and walked out with items without paying for them. He stated the suspect took a hammock valued at $29.99, a pocketknife value of $64.99 and a pair of sunglasses valued at $279.99. The suspect exited the building then proceeded to get into what appeared to be a silver four door SUV. No tag information could be obtained.

ERPD responded to an Unknown Trouble 911 call, apparently caused by a child with a 911 only phone

Police were informed an unknown party calling through a 911-only phone had told dispatch "I don't have an emergency - I just can't reach nobody - just wanted to tell my family I love them that's it.” Nothing was located upon police arrival. The apartment number it had hit on was found to be vacant.
 
A man was served with several outstanding East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail. The original charges were speeding, driving while suspended, reckless driving, red light violation, failure to maintain lane, felony evading and a forfeiture capias for domestic assault.

A woman was served with an outstanding warrant for child abuse after she turned herself into the Hamilton County Detention Center. She was also served with Conditions of Release.

The caller reported that she was slapped by her brother. Police could not determine if an assault occurred due to conflicting witness statements and no physical evidence. The two individuals were separated for the night.

A man contacted the Hamilton County Dispatch and made strange statements about his family issues. As a result, officers went to the apartment and conducted a welfare check. The party stated he felt safe in his home, did not want to harm himself, and had no intention of harming others.
