Leading 4-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lookouts appeared on the verge of a happy bus ride home back to Chattanooga after a tough series at the Tennessee Smokies. However, the Smokies would rally for three runs in the inning to walk it off over the Lookouts. The loss means the Lookouts dropped five of six in the series and now own a league worst record of 32-74.
Right fielder and former first round pick Austin Hendrick had a stellar night going 3-4 with two homeruns. He now has 8 homeruns and 24 rbi's on the season. Tyler Callihan also continued his hot hitting as he went 2-4 to raise his average to .249.
On the mound starter Kevin Abel was able to work around six walks in five innings to give up just one run on three hits. Patrick Weigel took the loss giving up three runs on four hits in two thirds of an inning.
Chattanooga will enjoy a day off on Monday before hosting the Rocket City Trash Pandas and former Vol standout Christian Moore beginning on Tuesday night.
