Five Star Breaktime Solutions announces the acquisition of Cajun Vending of Houma, LLC. This deal will expand Five Star’s presence across Louisiana’s Bayou Country and the gulf region.
Cajun Vending was founded in 1993 by Richard Franklin, a retired Shell Oil Company employee, who, with the support of his son Dean, launched the business from his garage with just one account. Under the leadership of Derek Franklin, Richard's grandson, and with the additional support of his mother Kathleen and wife Terra, Cajun Vending grew to encompass over 180 accounts throughout the greater Houma area, offering a wide range of vending and office coffee services.
Recently, Derek Franklin made the decision to sell the family business to focus on spending more time with his family. Five Star Breaktime Solutions has partnered with him, and Mr. Franklin will continue to be involved.
"We are honored that the Franklin family has entrusted Cajun Vending to us," said Greg Lucia, regional vice president of Five Star Breaktime Solutions. "Derek's deep experience in the vending and office coffee markets aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are thrilled to have him on board. Together, we will continue to provide outstanding service to our new and existing clients, ensuring a bright future in the Gulf Region."
The acquisition of Cajun Vending allows Five Star Breaktime Solutions to expand its market reach and enhance its service offerings, including an increased focus on micro markets, vending, office coffee solutions, and breakroom services.
