The Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center (FJC) announces that it will host a meeting organized by the State of Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) this Friday at 2 p.m. at 5705 Uptain Road in Chattanooga.
Officials said, "This meeting will bring together community officials and leaders to discuss the vital role Family Justice Centers play in addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse and child abuse across the state."
The meeting will feature Jennifer Brinkman, director of the OCJP, who will lead a discussion on the Family Justice Center model.
"This 'wrap-around' service delivery system unites critical community resources in a centralized location, ensuring comprehensive support for victims while promoting offender accountability. Chattanooga is one of the flagship family justice centers, being the 4th of 14 FJCs to open in Tennessee," officials said.
In addition to Director Brinkman’s presentation, the Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center will share insights on its own successes and challenges in serving the local community.
"This event is a significant opportunity for elected officials and leaders across municipalities and counties to explore how increased collaboration and government support can enhance the critical services FJCs provide to victims in need," officials said. "We encourage all community leaders, advocates and stakeholders committed to creating a safer, more supportive community to attend."0
