Doyle L. Smith went home to be with Jesus on September 8, 2024.

He was born on June 18, 1938, in Roff, Ok., and lived most of his life in Tennessee after moving from California in 1965.

His last place of employment before retiring was W & W Sprinkler.

Doyle is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marylyn and his two children, David (Tracy) Smith and Susan (Chuck) Topping; four grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Tate Davis, Sarah (Chris) Railing, and Bailey (Ashley) Davis; and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Davin, Aurora, Rowan, Daelyn, Clark, and River.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home, with Rev. Ray Shannon officiating.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that you visit a nursing home resident.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
