Chambliss Adds 2 Paralegals To Its Legal Teams

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. has added two new paralegals, Chasity Jackson and Sage Sammeli, who will support the firm's estate planning and business practice areas.

With over 15 years of legal experience, Ms. Jackson specializes in probate, trust and estate administration. She helps clients protect their assets with tailored plans, guiding them through the process, including gathering and valuing possessions, preparing legal documents, notifying creditors and beneficiaries of their rights, outstanding debts and responsibilities, managing debts and taxes, ensuring compliance and facilitating asset distribution. Jackson is dedicated to making clients feel valued and well-informed throughout estate planning. She earned her associate degree from Snead State Community College and her bachelor's degree from Faulkner University.

Ms. Sammeli specializes in the formation, governance, conversion and dissolution of for-profit entities. Working with multiple industries, she drafts formation and maintenance documents, filings and closing documents, while performing thorough due diligence. Ms. Sammeli routinely handles filing annual reports, amendments and terminations with the Secretary of State. She also regularly drafts operating agreements and coordinates with the IRS and state Departments of Revenue for tax information. Ms. Sammeli earned her bachelor's degree from Lee University before obtaining her transactional paralegal certification from Chattanooga State Community College.

Ms. Sammeli participated in Chattanooga State's paralegal apprenticeship program in partnership with Chambliss, which launched in late 2022. As Tennessee's first college-sponsored registered legal apprenticeship, the program provides participants with full-time employment, benefits, tuition assistance and on-the-job training. Apprentices gain valuable experience working directly with attorneys, legal assistants and clients, while earning portable, nationally recognized credentials through Chattanooga State.
