Chattanooga’s board that regulates the sale of beer has approved two restaurants for new beer permits. One of those is Sigler’s Craft Beer & Cigars, 1309 Panorama Dr., Unit 117. The location is just off I-75 at the East Brainerd Road exit.
The pub has a selection of over 200 bottles, 20 taps and growlers are available, and a good selection of cigars. The specialty here is craft beer from local and regional breweries as well as a selection of beer from around the world. Consumer beer is served and carry-out is also available.
It is open until 8 p.m. each day of the week except Sunday when closing is at 5 p.m., but opening times vary. Monday-Thursday and on Sunday the business opens at noon. On Friday and Saturday it opens at 10 a.m.
La Altena Restaurant located at 314 W. Main St. received a new beer permit after its other location on Mountain Creek Road was permanently closed earlier this month. This restaurant sells Tex-Mex style food and offers dine in service with both inside and outside seating and carry-out that can be picked up at a drive-through window. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. On Monday-Thursday closing is at 9 p.m. and at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
United Grocery Outlet #10, 4758 Highway 58 in Chattanooga, has been approved to sell carry-out beer. This store is billed as a discount grocer. It advertises that in addition to national brands, there is locally grown produce sourced from growers in the Chattanooga region.
