The Chattanooga Department of Public Works will begin the milling and paving process for Wilcox Blvd between Shallowford Road and Greenwood Road starting Monday, January 6. This project will be multi-phase and will require the following estimated timeline:
Phase 1: Milling Wilcox Blvd between Shallowford Road and Tunnel Blvd 1/6-1/10
Phase 2: Milling Wilcox Blvd between Tunnel Blvd and Greenwood Road 1/13-1/17
Phase 3-4: Paving of each section, exact dates are TBD due to weather conditions
Milling will take place on weekdays between 8 a.m.
and 3:30 p.m. No full closures will be required, however, the center turn lane will be closed to be utilized as an active travel lane. Paving dates will be announced once average temperatures rise.
