31st Annual Beginner & Newcomer Gardening Classes Set For Tuesdays, March 4-25

Master Gardeners of Hamilton County announce registration is open for the 2025 Beginner & Newcomer Gardening classes.

Classes take place at the UT Hamilton County Extension Office, 6183 Adamson Circle in Chattanooga, over four Tuesday evenings, starting March 4 and continuing through March 25 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The deadline to register is Feb. 21 at 11:59 p.m.

Schedule of classes:
March 4 - Soils & Fertilization / Turfgrasses
March 11 - Beginning Vegetables / Herbs & Edible Landscape
March 18 - Perennials & Annuals / Trees & Shrubs
March 25 - Beginning Landscape Design / Attracting Wildlife

The cost is $60 for individuals; $80 for couples sharing materials.
Fee includes notebook, information sheets and door prizes. Classes are led by experienced master gardeners.
